Haha. And all the while it seemed to me -- and perhaps the rest of the team? -- that Filipino Voices was trying to provide the alternative venue for debate, discussion, and opinion, that mainstream media would not (could not?) provide to the average reasonable Pinoy netizen.
Instead, it seems that the FV crew is beginning to become an alternative source of information for mainstream media to pick up on and disseminate.
(Whatever happened to that Luis Teodoro tidbit on blogs and bloggers? Hmph. So there.)
Anyway, we have this rather interesting tidbit. Check out this video:
And, take note, sourced from Filipino Voices' coverage and quote. Check out the screencap below:
Talk about making waves, eh, Cocoy?
Seriously, FV crew, we have to take this a bit seriously. Now that we have the South starting to flare, perhaps we can do a bit to help fight the fires?
Food for thought.

i was initially asked for an interview by QTV, which Saksi ported.
Felt, I wasn't the best ambassador of comic books.
i pointed them to my comic book buddies who are more into Marvel Comics (spiderman, x-men, captain america). I'm a DC comics guy (batman, superman, wonder woman). That and those guys know more inside baseball than i do.
as for putting more serious thought to FV, i guess, all we can hope for is that it becomes a place for great debate and discussion. And that we can raise the level of discourse in the Philippines. hopefully politicians make it one of their first read of the day to get insight, at the very least.
